Microcurrent machines for non-surgical facelift ยป 1 Author Message chinachatters Senior Member Joined: 28 Oct 2006 Posts: 239 Fri Apr 20, 2007 6:16 am I read on a link from Quackwatch that microcurrent machines for non-surgical facelift are a waste of money. I don't know how conclusion came about - whether they monitored a significant number of people using it and found no result or whether the opinion is just a wag. The fact is, I would like to try it.

I found machines in China on ebay. They're reasonable - $140US.
That's less than the price for one treatment at a spa and more than one treatment is required to get results. I forgot to ask whether the machines come with US adaptors. The shipping is nearly as much as the machine, though. Is there a US source? I am sure that there are better ones out now but ask about the replacement pads.
Mine went up by 100% in a year. My beautician uses a microcurrent machine which she has for a number of years. Does the machine require you to use it with some sort of solution? She uses two tong like things which she has to constantly dip in th solutoin. I think there's also a glove that comes with it. The one that she has (I can't remember the brand) also does lymphatic drainage. It does give some sort of an instant face lift.
The results were never dramatic on me though. _________________ 53, normal/oily skin, concerns: wrinkles/lines/bags under eyes melvinismybear New Member Joined: 05 Jul 2007 Posts: 8 Thu Jul 05, 2007 10:48 am avoid china made beauty devices at all cost (sadly most inexpensive devices you see on ebay are all china made)!!!! Bellaire Industry (skinspatula dot com) has a US (Texas) made device called the Ezzi-Lift which does work (i've seen at show demos). You can find it on the product page off the main homepage. I bought a 'supposed' to be brand new and a salon use Microcurrent Machine from ebay about 6 months ago. Made in China. I bought it from a distributor located in the US (but I believe the machine location was in Canada).
The return policy was 14 days from purchase. It took exactly 14 days to arrive after I purchased it. I don't quite understand the instructions in English so I asked for a Chinese version.
The seller was really helpful. He sent me the instructions in Chinese but I did not understand it 100% either.
It stopped working after 3 or 4 uses. I took it to my office and asked my R&D department to check it. After opened it my R&D guy who came from China told me it's a refurbished machine. I don't know whom to blame, the ebay seller or the manufacturer.
